"Gotham" TV series comes to Channel 5 (UK)

OK, not strictly horror related, but given the dark tone of this "Batman" prequel, I figured it would be of interest.

The new series "Gotham" will hit UK TV screens on Monday 13 October at 9pm on Channel 5.

The season premiere promises to unveil many of Gotham's most notorious characters to UK viewers, as well as introducing some new ones.

The first episode will follow Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he settles into his new role at GCPD and attempts to put a stop to the criminal underworld, which is slowly poisoning the city he used to love.

Along the way, we're set to meet a young, tragedy-stricken Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), a fearsome nightclub boss by the name of Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and the insecure, yet vicious Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), who goes by the nickname of 'Penguin.'

After a hugely successful premiere in the US, Gotham is set to be one of the must-see shows of the year. Episodes can be watched on Channel 5 on Monday nights or on Demand 5 up to 28 days after the episode was originally shown.
